V-Flyer

I received my Amex cc statement today it said I was due over 2,000 miles so I checked my flying club statement but it only showed 215 miles. I called Amex who told me to call Virgin money shop, who told me to call Amex [ii]. I spoke to a lady who told me:

1. that I will not be credited the 2,000 plus miles until I had paid my statement
2. the 215 miles were bonus miles for shopping at certain shops, she cited a transaction I had made in Superdrug and told me exactly how much I spent, as I don't shop there that often I did recall it. I asked her where I could find further details of these bonus miles she just directed me to the VA website - I can't find anything there [?]

So does anyone know anything about points 1 and 2 or am I being fed a line [:I]

Are you talking about the VS Credit Card? If so, Virgin's "members shop" only applied to the original MBNA Mastercard, that allowed you to transfer "points" into miles. Absolutely nothing to do with the Amex card.

1. Wrong - but it can take a while for them to trickle through to VS.
2. No idea - sorry.

I'm talking about the VA Amex card.

Its all really puzzling

4 types of card that are relevant to VS:

1) Regular Amex card with MR points
2) "Old" MBNA Mastercard with "members shop" points that can be transferred
3) "New" MBNA Mastercard with direct Flying Club miles (1:1 or 2:1)
4) VS Amex Card with direct Flying Club miles


In which case, you have the number 4) option - my post above applies in full.

Well your expected miles to credited miles ratio was a lot better than mine. Amex Statement says almost 14K miles, FC Statement says 92 miles[V]

Hmmm. Looks like I'm in a the same boat. VAA Amex statement said over 46K miles (bought 4 flights to BGI last month!). Looked at FC today - 256 miles. I'm confused (and not a little p*ssed off).
