V-Flyer

Hi all,

Got accepted last week, said it would be 7-10 days for CC, PIN and cheque book, my PIN arrived the next day but its been another 6 days and nothing else has arrived. Just wondered if its likely to take longer than the 7-10 day quote as i'm holding off buying some gig tickets until my new card arrives so i can earn some miles [^]

If you are concerned, phone MBNA and ask if it's been posted, "in case it's gone missing in the post"

I would just hang fire befoe ringing Amex , my Pin took a couple of days and then nearly 10 for my Card. Also I would check that the company you are buying your gig tickets from take Amex as I have bought from quite a few companies like Ticket Master etc dont take it[n]

Hi,

My pin came really quickly and my card arrived about three weeks later so a total of about four weeks. My husband applied for his card about six weeks ago and it has only just appeared, conveniently just outside the qualifying time to get the extra bonus miles on the 15th [n]. It took four weeks for his pin to come.

It might take a bit longer than expected; I rang up customer services to convert the MBNA 2for1 card to the Amex Black, and was told to ring another number, that was an automated system, where you key the card number in.... 4 weeks later nothing had been delivered - rang up CS again, who had no record of the conversion request, and this time CS took the details and said they would do it!
