Story here. Did they tell the passengers ?
Has anyone experienced anything like this ? I've been on a VS flight that on landing was taken to a remote stand and surrounded by fire engines for an hour before we were let off - never did find out what the problem was.

This has all been dug up as a result of the tapes being released under the freedom of information act in the US. It was from 18 months ago, and well covered the first time round!
The FT guys on the BA board (as well as contributors to PPRuNe) are getting fed up with it being brought up yet again as a result, with the exact same arguments as last time.

Ah no - not at all. It's an interesting "twist" to the tale - especially if you read some of the rantings on the BA board and PPRuNe as a result of the re-energising of the issue in the news!

I remember seeing the plane parked at Manchester when returning on a flight. Wasn't it G-BNLW? For the record I also remember seeing G-VBEE parked nearby when its Virgin career ended awaiting collection by Air Atlanta.

Had a hell of a fright - I read the title of this thread while watching TV, but thought it said "Three weeks on the wagon". Got it right now - phew.

Well I hadn't heard it before (Either that or I am getting forgetful now I am in the 'older generation' - right Attitude 23?)
