Has the BAA WorldCard withdrawn?

I have been looking all day for info on the BAA WorldCard, been given several links on here,(thanks all) looked on Google, etc. Looked on BAA website, no mention of it on there, and every link I go to says that the page content has been deleted. Could the card have been withdrawn?[?]

Yes it has, if you have a look at the thread link I posted yesterday it is confirmed in there by thelaceys that it is not available now for new applicants (I didn't remember that point when I posted you the link yesterday! sorry!).

All very odd, it was only using the info on that other thread (in particular the post made by Squish) that I found out the way to apply for the BAA Worldcard. Like him I've had mine for a few weeks now and use it anywhere that doesn't take AMEX. Just need to work out how to transfer BAA Wolrdpoints to FC miles as the card didn't come with any instructions on how to to that [?]

I guess you have a World Points account with the card then? (it's a 16 digit number and will start with the numbers 6331 5700). If so you can log on to it using this page. Once logged on you can transfer your World Points into your FC account. You do need a minimum of 500 World Points though to transfer to FC at a 1:1 ratio.

Regards

Thanks James but alas no - the only thing they sent me was the visa card itself with a number commencing 4916 and a sheet of A4 containing the T's & C's. On my statement which arrived just last week it states BAA Wolrdpoints Added This Month 353 (which reflects the few purchases I made in the period covering that statement). I'll call RBS to dig deeper as it sounds like a need another account so I can use the BAA website link you kindly provided.

Cheers, James

Whoops clanger ;)!! Attitude23, the BAA Worldcard has absolutely not been withdrawn, as you will see if you read further in the post for 'Amex not accepted' (page 5).

I was told by BAA in an e-mail that it had been discontinued for new applicants but this information was in fact incorrect and the card is still alive and kicking and ready for new applicants. The application telephone No. which can also be found in the post courtesy of another kind V-Flyer member is 0800 032 0395 I applied for mine, no problems and it is through Halifax Bank of Scotland.:D

Hope this helps all you points junkies out there. [y]

D'oh, I thought it was still live and kicking when I replied to the post asking about it yesterday, but then when I saw this post today and I re-read the thread you've stated and I saw you said it was no longer available I thought I must of just missed something....but I was obviously right first time around (lesson learnt today is to never doubt yourself!)
