The Sh*ttest Promo/Contest/Competition Ever!

AmEx have now managed another absolute all time low, and boy is this a peach!

Arrive home to find an Envelope from AmEx Membership rewards with some 'important information enclosed'

They are changing some of the wording of the T&C's for MR, nothing controversial there but its the competition that goes with it that is astounding.

Multi-part colour A5 leaflet that offers me a chance to turn 1,000 MR points into 1,000,000 points. And the brilliant bit, you have to pay 1,000 points and answer 'one' question that is actually one of those in x number of words or less to be entered. If you're feeling a bit unsure about the quality of your first answer, you can have another stab for another 1,000 points!

Absolute marketing brilliance eh? Checked T&C's only one winner. So they only need 1,000 mugs to enter and they break even. Even more astounding is that they have created an online site so people can enter too, americanexpress.co.uk/mrcompetition. Would be lovely if they had bothered to update their core sites with the correct information first!

I might actually enter with a complete piss take. ANy suggestions?

Q In 25 words or less, tell us who in your life deserves rewarding and why?

Me, to send me away on holiday to recover fromt he stress of having to deal with muppets at AmEx Travel.

Thanks,
Richard

wouldn't that be considered gambling? Which would mean US members would not be eligible... ?

I got it. I never enter these 'please in 25 words make up some pithy sentence' competitions. I hadnt realised it was so obviously self funding. Congrats Amex for yet another low. In fact its a good way for them to lower the number of outstanding unrealised mr points.
