Well that's my airline of choice sorted if I ever go to India!!! When do you think they will get around to Staropramen, Grolsch or Stella Artois airlines!!

And the guy who runs it reminded me of an Indian version of Peter Stringfellow!!

This was on the "should I really give up flying" programme.

Anyone flown with them?

To the best of my knowledge, Kingfisher only fly domestically at the moment. They do have plans to go international soon and i believe that they have a380s, a330's and a350xwbs on order. At the moment consists of ATR's and a mix of the airbus short haul family (320's,321's i think). I remember reading a trip report of them on another website, they didnt look too bad. Even on some of their flights they offered a "scrooge pack".

Yeh under Indian Aviation law an airline must fly domestically within India for something like 4 years before they are allowed to fly internationaly. They have some rapid exapnsion plans and will give a real test to AI/Jet it seems. They are one of the only carriers to offer PTV's in every aicraft to everyone (VS being another one of course).

I believe that Kingfisher are trying to become the Virgin of India- ie: a number of different comapnies etc- and there chairman seems to love the media a bit like our own SRB.
