'Singapore Girl' faces makeover

Looks like they are going to change the ad campaign for SQ! See the link below from the SMH.

Hope not, I have never found the ad to be "sexist"!

Me neither. Both Malaysian, Singapore and Thai have uniforms like this, and it truely represents their country.

As it says in the article, you represent your country as well as the airline

I dont think they are getting rid of the uniforms, just the way that Singapore Girl is represented. Well, that's how I interpreted it?

Thats the way I also read it.

I'm a great fan not changing something that isn't broken...:)

SQ keep the the ads and definitely don't touch the uniform...:D

[:?] I'm afraid I always thought these adverts harked back to the "I'm Mandy, Fly Me" days. I don't read it as being about uniform, more about the way the service is represented.
