Left it a bit late haven't you?
The Hilton is OK, not as good as it used to be. Gone downhill in my estimation. that's why I have booked the Sofitel for December to see if its any better.

I prefer the Hilton, Ok, it is an airport hotel, you will never get anything that fancy, but i does what it says on the box so it is fine for 1 night.

Sofitel every time or failing that the Premier Travel Inn across the road from the Sofitel is nice if all you need is a bed & shower.
Last time I used it it was £60 a night ... The Sofitel was over £100 via holidayextras.co.uk
BTW DON'T buy drinks at the Sofitel Bar ! It will leave your wallet more empty than the current Upper Class Amenity Kit [^]

Keith,
The Hilton is fine and ideal if you're using a carrier that flies from the South terminal (like VS).The rooms are standard Hilton fare, ie nothing objectionable. The exec rooms are a bit more plush but IMHO not worth the extra money (but OK as a HH perk).Beware of the bar prices though - they must be in cahoots with the Sofitel (or just purely taking advantage of happy minded travellers off on their travels)

The Hilton is attached to the South Terminal and the Sofitel to the North.
So it depends on whether you want a little trip to check in or a walk over the bridge!
There are all sorts of deals for both hotels - b&b, dbb etc

Hi,
Also if you are an HH member , you get 1000 VS miles with the Hilton ( if you book with Hilton).
Of course you may get a cheaper rate booking elsewhere.
Regards
