Just came across this little gem

Granted it's not virgin and theres no miles to be earned but it will save us Norn Iron folk some extra travelling!

Interesting. IMHO I can't see how a direct Vegas flight can fail to make money, I am surprised there aren't more.

I agree and BFS is looked over too often when new routes are being planned from the US to UK

Hasnt this route been done before on an ad hoc charter basis?

I don't remember any flights from Belfast coming in, I do stand to be proved wrong though.

It's good to see more international flight's coming in and as Nick says it is amazing there are not more as they seem to be a no brainer.

On the down side it does mean I am going to have to spend more time translating for my staff :D

That is good news for you, or is it bad news[:?] See, since I have found affordable flights to LAS Mrs. Stonman and I have traveled there about 4-5 times a year. I now have no savings, run an old car, wear the same hand me downs, live in a shoe box(OK, I'll stop[:#]) but you get the point. We started off traveling in Y, staying in the Sahara. Now we have to travel in at least PE, and will only stay in the Signature, Bellagio, et all. My life is in tatters, BUT I LOVE THAT BLOODY PLACE!![y]

This will be the first ever direct flight to Western USA direct from Belfast and offers local travellers the chance to sample the delights that Vegas has to offer on 7 or 14 night breaks.

Don't know about 14 nights in Vegas...

14 nights is easy in Vegas, you just gotta pace yourself and do some other things. We've even been to the Atomic Museum and despite not being museum types we really enjoyed it. Naturally I cut the visit short so I could get back to the drinking and gambling :)

I've never been, but it is vegas so I'm sure I could manage 14 days!

Glad to see that BFS' long-haul portfolio is increasing gradually.

Just looking at the press release I must point out that the flights will actually be operated by Thomas Cook Airlines using A330s since MyTravel will have been integrated into Thomas Cook by the time these flights are launched.

Granted its not Virgin but its better than nothing!
