I didn't know they had any plans, but a quck Google shows Nevada have introduced one, but Vegas seems not to be implementing it - yet....

There is already a ban in all indoor spaces that sell food except for gambling areas in casinos. The day they stop smoking in casinos I stop going!!!

I think they did stop it once, or at least one casino tried it. They nearly went out of business as none one went in for those days!

I wish they would ban it though, one of the reasons I don't really like Vegas.

Sure you will- but you will just have to stop evey now and then and go outside for a puff!!

Think of the advantages - save you some cash every time you stop and increase your life expectancy coz you wont be smoking so much!!

Sorted! [y]

Mark, I will stop going. I no longer go to Florida and sold our property there because they brought in a no smoking rule. I only smoke when I am drinking and gambling, never during the day, or at home. It is my one little vice, which combined with my other little vices, makes LV so enjoyable to me.
I was brought up near Atlantic City and still get all the gossip from my family. In the casinos there they have till the end of the year I think, to erect partitions around 25% of the gambling area where you will be allowed to smoke, making 75% smoke free.

The Silver city went smoke free for a couple of years..result was Circus Circus ended up closing it...

I am sorry to say it just will not work, I am a smoker, but honestly I could live without people smoking at the tables.

Mostly true.

There is one of the local chain of bars that has set up a separate entrance and dining room for the non smokers, so yes it is possible to sit down, eat a meal and smoke while in Vegas, just not at anything better than a local bar (which happens to have pretty good ribs):D

We are giving the Platinum a go this time, looks really nice and some good reviews. And of course, just accross from the Westin with their $1 craps tables.
