July 16th to be precise...
Apart from hot what will it be like?. Is it busy at this time of year?.

We're touring the west coast and may pop over to Vegas to catch Barry Manilow... Anybody seen his show?...

Anybody got any tips on where to stay....
We're looking for somewhere clean, cool and cheap... but not too cheap.

Thanks in advance,
Tim & Chris.

16th is a Monday, it shouldn't be to bad.

Errr..may I say the Strat may be a good idea ?

Ok I lied..two semi big conventions going on..only 65k people in town..not to bad.

Check travelworm for good rates.

Which one..remember we have two.

Also remember to wear sun screen, it is so easy to pick out the people from the UK..they are the ones walking around with 3rd degree sunburn....Paul [:w]

Mr DL (against his better judgement) and I saw Barry at the Hilton in November. He'd just returned after his hip operations (Barry, not MR DL:D) so was a little slow on stage. We're not Barry fans, but hey ho, when in Vegas....The audience was full of more "mature" women (some accompanied by their less than enthusiastic other halves) who were whooping and screaming (honestly)and waving their glowlite sticks.
Barry was only on stage for just over an hour and the tickets weren't cheap (bought directly from Hilton website some time prior to the trip)so we did feel a bit hard done by (especially as we'd seen Foreigner a few days before at the Tropicana and they'd played for 2 and a 1/2 hours and were fantastic[y]) .However if you're a Barry fan he sings (and plays) all the expected stuff, and the rest of the audience seemed to have a good time. Hope this helps.
