Dollar Rate at $2 to £1 this weekend (25th May 07)

Hi
Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, I did a search and could only find a post regarding HSBC rates earlier this year.
Thomas Cook selling traveller cheques at $2 to £1 over the bank holiday weekend. Normally just buy cash but can manage some travellers cheques at this rate.

Plus the Amex Travellers Check card is also covered by this special, no commission on either the TC's or the card

Any chance of a link to this as I Can't find it. TC website is currently only offering 1.88USD to the £. (0005)

Link below John - the website will only show the going rate as they wont be able to do the same deal. If you want some I would suggest you ring your local branch first as my experience would suggest that some will run out before Monday comes.

We popped into our local Thomas Cooks this morning and picked up £1,000 worth of TC's!!!

Thomson have the same deal for this weekend, up until 5.30pm on Monday 04/06/07. Minimum spend is £1,000 for either TC's or normal notes / coins:D
