Came across this on Sky News and thought I would share it with you all :D.

We have all heard about bird strikes grounding aircraft but I have never before heard of a bee strike grounding an aircraft.

Yesterday a Palmair flight from Bournemouth to faro suffered a engine serge and had to return back to Bournemouth after flying in to a swarm of Bee's. The aircraft was then taken out of service, as it was unsafe to fly.

Not surprised- the Palmair 732 must be on its last legs by now- surely will be retired by the end of the year.
