We stayed here for 4 nights in June. I know, I know, it's a fair way to go for a long weekned but with the VA offers it was too good to miss;)
It is located south in Worthing, Christ Church.

We chose this hotel having had a quick look at Virgin hotels on VH site & Tripadvisor.

The deal on VH is room only but we emailed the hotel direct & chose their 'summer sizzle' (plus an additional night) which was fantastic value. 3 nights B&B, dinner on 1 night, airport transfers & half day tour of the island. [^][y][^][y]

We flew with VA but I'll do my TR on that asap.

The airport is fantastic we thought both for arrivals & departures.
We were met by a driver from the hotel after clearing immigration.

We arrived at the hotel in 15 minutes & enjoyed the ride as this was our first trip to Barbados.

Check-in was hassle free & we were shown to our room. It was ready but the floor was wet so we left our cases & went & had a late lunch.

Our room was excellent. [^][y][^][y]

We drew back the curtains & WOW WOW WOW.[^][^][^][^]

The view was STUNNING & to hear the sound of the atlantic breaking against some rocks was sooo relaxing.

It was VERY clean with a well equipped kitchenette. A coffee machine & kettle were provided but take your own tea/coffee etc or go to the supermarkets 5 mins walk away (turn right out of the hotel).
The fridge was very quiet, I had to listen to try & hear it even when I woke up one night.

The bathroom was very clean & a good size with a large shower which was very efficient but not a supa-dupa power shower.

A little washing line had been mounted on the wall for wet cossies. Complimentary bottles of shampoo were provided.
Towels were provided daily if you put them in the shower for changing.
The room was cleaned daily.
The light over the vey large mirror was fine but not very good for plucking eyebrows.( Trust me on this one,I tried )

The bedroom was spacious with a wall mounted TV which had 8 channels (I think).
The bed was VERY comfy & pillows ok.
The air con was very quiet. We only switched it on at night when we went to bed. The rest of the time we turned it off & had the french doors open to enjoy the view & the sound of the ocean.

Plenty of wardrobe space, hangers, shelves & an iron & ironing board.

The furniture on the spacious balcony was fine, 2 chairs & a table.

The breakfasts were fine but were served according to bajan time so go before you get really hungry. The restaurant is OCEANFRONT. It's tables & chairs, little pathway,(for hotel residents only) beach, OCEAN. Lovely[8D]
The pool was very clean with loungers, tables & chairs & sun umbrellas, very relaxing.:)
The tour of the island was FAB. The day we did it only the 2 of us were going & the same driver that had brought us from the airport was our driver again, very nice chap & a good driver. You can't drive fast on the island.
We chose to go up the west coast to St.James church, oldest on the island, beautiful, then up to the Animal Flower caves at the very north of the island. They are stunning & worth the drive as you see loads on the way. We came down the east coast to Bathsheba, again stunning & unspoilt. A wonderful 3 hours or so & excellent value as it was included.[y][y]

The hotel ajoins the Coral Mist hotel which again is a fairly small establishment. It has it's own pool but guests can use either. Both hotels have lifts. Both hotels are on the main road but they are on a bend so traffic slows. The front doors to the apartments face the road & all balconies face the sea so we didn't hear any road noise.

It is suitable for some folks with less mobility but my main concern would be the little pathways which are made up of squares of paving with gaps inbetween. If you want to PM me about these concerns please do so.

We went in the rainy season (supposedly) but we only had a 3 min rain shower in 5 days.[y]

A word of warning - the beach is not safe for swimming as there are strong currents, a red flag was flying all the time we were there. However, some people ignored this, I wouldn't.[V][V][V][V]
We were happy to paddle & use the pool.

Lots of 'safe' beaches are within a few minutes walk including Worthing beach which is protected by a reef/rocks. We really enjoyed this beach, hardly anyone on it.

Plenty of restaurants around & 'Quayside 'mall'(not on the scale of anything in the UK or USA) is 5 mins walk away (out of hotel, turn left) which has restaurants, cafes & a few cute shops. Try 'just grillin', yummy flying fish:D

If you want loads of complimentary toiletries, room service, satellite channels & entertainment coming out of your ears DON't go![V]

If you want a relaxing atmosphere & stunning views then GO:D Enjoy it for what it offers.
I tried to make this brief but I failed AGAIN[:w][:w][:w]

We would be more than happy to return to this property. Any good offers from VA coming up;)
