Ladies and Gents this will be release to the public soon so I thought I would post here first so if anybody want to be a part please feel free to do so thank you. :)

Terminal 5 trials. Do you want to be one of the first to step inside Heathrow's brand new Terminal 5 before it opens on 27 March 2008? Do you want the chance to explore the vast size and scale of the world's most exciting airport terminal? Do you want to enjoy a great day out and receive a limited edition Terminal 5 goodie bag for your time?

Between September 2007 and March 2008 we’ll be conducting a series of trials at Terminal 5 to prove that it’s ready to open, and we need 15,000 volunteers to take part. These trials will give you the chance to be a passenger for the day and help us prove that Terminal 5 works.

To take part you’ll need to register your details through our online volunteer recruitment page, which we will launch on Monday 2 July 2007. We are looking for a broad mix of volunteers from frequent flyers to airport novices to take part; all we ask is that you have an email address and a valid passport or photographic driving licence.

Recruitment for the trials starts on 02nd July '07. You can visit the official website, http://www.heathrowairport.com/terminal5 or call the

Volunteer Information hotline opening on 02087455755 (open Mon– Fri 08.30 – 17.30)

Just out of curiosity is there anything major left to be done to Terminal 5 or is it the small things?

Hopefully common sense will prevail over beancounting and they will get rid of that ridiculous roundabout on the approach to T5, and replace it with something a bit more sensible and freeflowing.

Despite the pretty 'T5' logo in the middle, this has all the promise of being a gridlock blackspot, with all the traffic between the M25 and the terminals appearing to need to flow through the roundabout.

One wonders if they learned nothing from the Airport Spur?

It's been advertised in the BA Highlife magazine throughout all of the June on board their a/c so it is already been advertised to the public.

Sounds like a good laugh though.

Seems I am unsuccessful for 25/9 - Just recieved this

Trial 25th September 2007

The number of applicants for the terminal 5 trials have been overwhelming, thank you for registering your interest.

Unfortunately this trial on the above date is now full, but there is still time for you to be part of the terminal 5 experience. Please check out our website at http://www.heathrowairport.com/terminal5 to select another date before it fills up.

If you've got any questions in the meantime, give us a call on the volunteer information hotline, we'll be happy to help.

Interestingly the 'before it fills up' comment seems to suggest a 'first come first serve' allocation of places. I'm going to re-register with my son on the basis that they want unusual groups rather than individuals.

I too was unsuccessful for the 25th, but I can't say I'm that fussed in order to go alone on another day.
