I have had two occasions when Virgin refused to take the Virgin Black Amex Card.
1. To pay for the additional Advance Passenger tax.
2. To pay for Virgin Fear of Flying Course.
Has anyone had this problem with Virgin, Not taking their own card for payments?

Was this not purely because they don't accept AMEX for these payments rather than they refuse to take your 'Virgin Atlantic' AMEX?

It is just an AmEx with the Virgin Atlantic brand. IIRC there is a Virgin Money Visa.

IIRC, the method of pre-paying the APD was Paypal, in which case there was nothing to stop you using the VS Amex.. assuming of course you are happy to pay the Amex surcharge that paypal add. [n]

I didnot have a Paypal account at time of paying for APD! The agent at Virgin was able to take the orginal booking via Amex Virgin Black! Then when they needed additional APD, they could not take the Amex Virgin Black. Frustrating!
FWF Course just dont take Amex Virgin Black. It is not really good for Virgin branding, when they dont take the card that they recommend we should use. No reward miles using Virgin Visa, or Mastercard. Am i wrong to think that Virgin should accept their own Branded card!
