Hi there,

We will be in Boston at end of November for 4 nights, first time in Boston (first time flying PE!) an wondered if anyone had any recommendations for a good hotel. Any suggestions appreciated.

There are a lot of threads on this subject.

If you do a search with the key word Boston, you will find this one, this one, and this one, but there are others.

Be warned - city centre hotels are notoriously expensive, but there are often good offers to be had at Marriotts, Hiltons and SPG properties through their websites as you are going out of season.

Nick got there before I did !

I've stayed at the Royal Sonesta on the Charles River twice and been very happy.

Cambridge Galleria Shopping Mall opposite, and 2 "T" stops within a 5 minute walk to get you into Boston which is 5 minutes, and 2 stops. Or you can walk which takes around 30 minutes.

Easy to get to Logan International Airport from there with a cost of $23

There's often deals available if you book via the hotel tab on :

http://www.virginatlantic.com

Or via :

Who seem to be able to price match.

When we went last month we stayed at the Jury's. I have posted a review in the reviews section and would recommend without hesitation.

I've stayed at the Omni Parker but watch what room they give you initially, as we had one that was so tiny it was like a shoebox and asked to move and got a more regular size room on a high floor which helped keep the traffic noise down.

Also, Intercontinental have opened a new hotel in Boston. Not looked at prices yet, but it may be worth a quick check on their website, especially if you have one of their loyalty cards for Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza etc.

We stayed at the Elliot Suites Hotel a couple of years ago and enjoyed it.

If you haven't already done so, tripadvisor.com is always worth checking out.

I'd love to go to Boston again!
