Looking forward to see when that starts. Might just make a woefully inadequate bid just for the fun of it.
Think they'll have different bids for different classes?

Oh so the plane may enter service in Oct 2007. So I may need to change my SIN-SYD leg in Oct 2007.

It's now official - the date of SQ380, the first flight from Singapore to Sydney is to be Thursday 25 October, returning the next day. There will be 471 seats on board, but still not much information on how they will be laid out.

The auction for the tickets will begin on Monday 27 August through eBay.

An announcement on when it will enter scheduled service will be made in due course.

The first Auction is now online -here-

It does look the mutt's.. 2 suites in 'the class beyond F' on the inaugural flight and then two F seats return to SIN plus lots of other perks, including a trip to Toulouse to see the plane being delivered, hotel stays in SIN and SYD, and a few very nice meals!

'Buy it Now' price is nearly £125K. [:w][:w]

I've just had a look and it has been well and truly sold - any V-Flyers going to own up to the purchase!!!

It has now been re-listed, the original 'winner' had an EBay rating of nil, and as you have to put down a $10,000 Bank Guarantee, in order to make an offer, I assume it was someone having a laugh!

Has anyone registered or made any bids? I need to be in Singapore around that time and fancy a quick trip to Sydney.

I had a look at the Singapore web site and it seemed rather painful to become an approved bidder.
