PER overnight hotel

It's been a while I know, but this sailing trip has certainly put a curb on my flying! However the trip is getting closer and could do with some advice on hotels.
I'm due to fly into PER in December ahead of my sailing adventure with Clipper Ventures (Fremantle - Singapore - Qingdao - Hawaii - San Francisco) and then the next day I'm heading over to SYD for about a week (with Virgin Blue of course!), so I'd really appreciate your advice on somewhere as close to the airport as possible that I can stay for the one night. It needs to be somewhere that I can also leave some luggage (bulky sailing gear for a 4 month trip!) because I don't want to have to schlep that all the way to SYD and back where it won't be needed and incur excess baggage charges.
I'm on a budget and it's just somewhere to crash so don't really need anything fancy.
