Interesting observation from a passenger review on Airliners.net.

My only inflight service comments.... They should heat their nuts when they are giving you a drink (prior to meal service beginning).

Er, meaning what? Am due to fly with them in a couple of weeks...

That person has probably flown with UA or one of the other large US carriers. They all seem to serve warmed mixed nuts (usually a mix of cashews, almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, sometimes macadamias) with the post-departure cocktail service in their International Business and First cabins.

Nothing to do with heaters in strategic areas of the seat cushion ;).

Will do. Looking forward to it with a mixture of anticipation and trepidation. So far though, I've called and emailed their customer services team a couple of times - their response has always been both speedy and courteous - even via email. Now that's a first....[y]

Out to LAX 5th October and back from LAS 20th October....
