About half of the 747 fleet have been refitted up to yet,777 fleet refit is scheduled to start Feb 2008.I have traveled on a few of the refitted aircraft and have to say the AVOD is dire, it has crashed or been totally none operational on every flight. In April there was an engineer on the flight to deal with the AVOD and it still crashed and he couldn't reset it.Strangely it seems to play havoc with the overhead lights when the system throws a wobbler as well[:0]

I bet the overhead lighting issues go down well with nervous passengers :)

In that case are they following the same pattern as VS and refitting the LHR fleet first or do the a/c move to and from different uk airports?

Most airlines buy Panasonic IFE, the new EX2 system being first choice. BA has obviously saved a few quid by buying an inferior system!!!
