Own a piece of history

It's a classic scene. We all remember it. Basil Fawlty jumps from his wayward car and tells it that he's laid it on the line time and time again, but now he's going to give it a damn good thrashing.

Well, before I suffered the indignity of dolling the same treatment out on the unruly hang-glider, the-now-Mrs. mdvipond is appealing for some kind hearted soul to offer it a good home. From all but closing down the x-ray machine at LGW, to appearing, phoenix like, on the Air France baggage conveyor at LAX (depsite the fact we'd arrived with VS), this piece of history can now be yours:

Unruly Hang-glider

Farewell, old friend. Adieu...

I'm sure he mentioned recently that they had bought something else that, quite frankly, doesn't sound half so interesting

Yes, HL. Sometime just after hell freezes over.

We already have a 'lightweight' replacement to take to Oz (though, quite frankly, it may as well be made of balsa wood for all the good it will do us).

The-now-Mrs. mdvipond wishes to invest in a different kind of unruly hang-glider altogether. Something that jr. can lie down in more comfortably (the lazy tyke). It shall be know as Unruly Hang-Glider the Second and we shall, in time, become dear friends.

Mark

Whilst Mrs Buns & I have no intention of making use of the "unruly", your sales pitch was a joy to read[y][y][y]

I don't think you can class as an "in-joke" things that can be gleaned by reading the on line fora only references to ex-board activities :)
