FlyGlobespan closing bases

FlyGlobespan seem to be drawing in their tentacles.
Up to now, Liverpool, Aberdeen and Stansted have been shut as flying bases for next year, with full time crew being given notice and contact workers terminated.
Today they have added Manchester to that list.
Sad for those crew who, i would imagine would be very happy with virgin's current salaries and conditions compared to the dole. [:#]

No big loss!
To be fair, they single-handedly buggered the whole programme up thanks to them being unreliable and a bad habit of sending 737s transatlantic, as well as sending their own 767s on lease to Air India!!!
I remember saying that they were expanding too quickly and I was right!

Latest news is that their ETOPS license has been removed:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7051079.stmSo, no transatlantic flights on the twin engines ... and to paraphrase Willd when will they belly.

Isn't the ETOPS licence removal just for their aircraft though?
The way I undertand this is that all current and future leased aircraft aren't affected by this??

Seems to a downward spiral for Flyglobespan at the moment which causes concern... My sister has flights booked with FlyGlobespan next July (Glasgow to Orlando) but to date has only paid a very small deposit. Should she cut her losses now and book other flights or am I over reacting to the situation and they will still be flying next year??

They are running a wet lease flight using Icelandair on a lot of their trans Atlantic flights, these will not be effected by the ETOPS cert being pulled...though honestly this really isn't a good sign.
