Seems very unlikely but if true I would think some severe and permanent damage will have been done to the lad; -50 geez, does that include wind chill.

That couldn't be possible, even if you forget about the severe low temperature and the airspeed over the wing there simply wouldnt have been enough oxygen at altitude for him to remain conscious.

It's asking a lot to believe that an unconscious person was able to hold onto a plane wing facing wind speeds measured in hundreds of miles an hour at temperatures of -40 to -50 degrees.

Maybe he simply froze into place and went into a kind of suspended animation?

How did he keep a grip on the plane at 500mph???

I could start to understand if he was is a wheel bay.
