Anybody else get this email from HH.Wonder if that would be 2000 BMI miles a night with option 2[:?]

Seems to be targeted. I'm HH Gold and mine says

"Simply stay at any of more than 2,800 participating Hilton Family hotels worldwide between 15 October 2007 and 31 January 2008 and we'll credit double Base points to your Hilton HHonors account."

I got "Yes we've just given you 5,000 miles for nothing - please come back soon".

Just received my email (I'm Gold HH)

Clicked on the double airline miles & base points without thinking. I'm now wondering whether the stay 5nights/1free option might have been better value ( although I may struggle to get 5 stays before Jan ).

I think the 5 nights / 1free offer is constrained by blackout dates. As a Gold HH it makes sense to take the points, as these can be redeemed at almost anytime.

Edit: Having said that the t&c actually state subject to "standard reward availability and blackout dates". Whether that means the standard for you HH membership level or the bog standard is not clear..

Seems worth it for having to put with the Hilton Olympia three times a year. Just.

We lodged there once on a points stay what a hole, the Chinese across the road was ok.
