Excellent[y][^]
Just booked several Virgin business returns for £164.50 Wigan to London. I normally book a first value advance going out and a first open return which is around £283 - and that was a saving on the £329 full fare[:0]

It's valid up to the 20th. Have you tried booking one? The Discount only appears when you checkout, but I just tried and it accepts the code and gives the discount. [:?]

Looks like good deals can be had.
I got something similar to use on GNER recently and got a good deal on 1st class between Peterborough and Edinburgh.
One thing to watch out for though. All of these are routing through TheTrainLine.com as their booking engine and this has a tendency to show fare availability on certain trains that when you select and attempt to buy suddenly becomes unavailable. Even I though I got a good deal the tickets to Edinburgh, they were still 50% more expensive than the lowest 1st class fares that were shown as being available on the same service, which it was refsuing to let me book.
When I enquired of the call centre as to why this might be I was advised..."Just because they are shown as available on the website doesn't actually mean they are available." Eh ?

Just to confirm, this offer is still valid, but as locutus mentions, you wont see the discount until the fares are in your basket.
Hmmmmmmm Preston to London 1st class on Virgin for only £35.00 return, I'm tempted to book that [y]
