Looks like the BMI card issued by MBNA is going the same way as the Virgin card.
Link here. Will be a real shame I use the Virgin Amex and the BMI card for places that don't use Amex (which seems to be most places nowadays)
Edit by mod to shorten link............... Nick

Oh dear, it is like deja vu. As greyt has said, they are doing exactly the same to BMI passengers as they did to us. [n][n]
They don't like it on the
BMI board on FT, either. [:w]

I like the feature: "Premium card comes with automatic 'Blue Plus' status in Diamond Club"
Would be nice to VS add some worthwhile features to their card, like Silver FC membership for the black card

Looks like it's time to bag the Amex conversion bonus then bin the thing...[n]
Can hardly justify a BA and VS Amex at present, no way It's becoming a trio.
Seems to be a nasty hole in the market for a good Visa/Mastercard now unfortunately. [:#]

Yup, will be cancelling mine if it changes to an AmEx as i only took it out as a supplementary card to my other AmEx. What does that leave us with in the way of Mastercards? BAA Worldpoints and HiltonHonours?
Thanks,
Sarah

Is the BAA Worldpoints credit card still issued? I have tried a few Google searches & drawn a blank (I did try searching on BAA Worldcard too, as I believe this is/was it's name). Also tried searching the Bank of Scotland [card issuer] website and drew a blank.
Most of the Google results seemed to date back to 2002-3 also, which is a bit old if the card is still available. Anyone know any more?
Thanks
James

Looks like good news for now. Over at Flyertalk, BMI Diamond club have posted to say that they will not be forcing people to move from Mastercard to Amex, and the Mastercard will continue to earn points at the same rate.
