Do you ever find p**n behind drawers in hotels?

I know, sorry for the question - but the worst hotel ever thread reminded me of this (great one Mrs D about the blood stained carpets by the way) ... over on Flyertalk there's a long running thread about how people find magazines of a frankly crude nature hidden behind / inside drawers or other items of furniture in hotels. It's always amused me, so recently I've tried looking and found nothing. Has anyone else come across this urban phenomena? Maybe it's just the Day's Inns [:0]

[:#]I've never found any, but it's not for the want of looking.

Though i suppose when you stay in hotels for months on end, as I have been, it's my own fault for not putting any there. [:o)]

Yep I've found DVD's of an 'adult' nature (catering for all tastes) in a well known hotel I stayed in in Times Square, NYC. I should point out I was not looking for them [:I]

I'd moved the printer and found a paper bag underneath, with what I thought would be the driver CD for the said printer, but no.......

Only ever a Gideon's Bible and, if I'm lucky, the teachings of Bhagavad Gita....

This is Paul's cue to go on a rant about some of the things he has found (left behind) in Vegas hotels..

And to answer the OP..sure..though the better one is when someone leaves their digi camera behind [:D]

Brings a whole new meaning to 'what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas'. [:0]

I know and I agree...I was amazed to see the DVD as well, when it said LUNARFUN I thought it would be space related as well...kind of shocked actually though I heard a couple of members thought the man guy was kind of cute after I sent them a link to the website.

Two years ago when we went to our house in Florida, I was unpacking when I noticed that the telephone directory looked extra thick. Inside were two mags of an adult nature, my son loved them!!! Told him he should wear rubber gloves when handling said books as they were second hand. He quickly disposed of them. My cleaning company got the sack!!

I once fired a member of staff and had him escorted off the premises. When his desk was cleared two videos were found, and from what I was told by the male members of staff that later watched them, they were homemade hardcore and repulsive.

I am so wanting to post...'are you sure you didn't find Deckers hiding spot?'

But that would be bad of me no [:I]

I found magazines of the above related topic in my room of an international chain of hotels.

I went to reception & they weren't really interested in acknowledging me until I said in a loud voice that I wanted a different room now because I had found p*** books in a drawer in my room. It's amazing how talking loudly made all the staff move like lightening.
I got a different room & a free weekend.

In 2006 I was staying in the Florida Keys at a VERY nice hotel & I opened the bedside cabinet & found a pair of crunchy mens pants. I got a free weekend & a face to face meeting with the hotel manager who was mortified & so very apologetic.

My god - this is the work of a genius! Take two porn mags with you on every trip, and never pay for a hotel room again! [:w][;)]

At the Crowne Plaza in Muscat I used the Club Room computer and asked the woman in charge of the computer if she was aware her machine had a Bittorrent client distributing hard core. Apparently she wasn't - still as far as I could tell it had only been doing it for a month or so.

Let me guess - you knew that because your last stay there was 30 days prior? [}:)] [:w]

Roxy-Popsy [oo] this is better than the $20 tip at the front desk...

I can see it now..stroll down to the front desk, throw down a copy of malespank magazine and start screaming about the perverted sick stuff I have found in my room and how I could never stay in a room occupied by that kind of pervert...pure brilliance thank you for the tip Roxy

Excellent idea. Not seen that one in Lonely Planet or Rough Guides.[^]

Just be careful, what you 'find' might actually be illegal (some US state, Muslim countries..) and as you are holding it, you get a special room to stay in. About 6'x6' with nice bars..[:0]

I once arrived in my hotel room in NY and it was already on the TV playing!

At one of the hotels I worked in many years ago, the dealers room (card dealers) was a bit of a boys club, I ended my stay at that place by acquiring one of the hotel room remote controls and ordering the porn channels....nobody complained...but the hotel was not happy with the bill it got from the PPV company.

Not in a hotel, but in my old job one of our Sales Reps brought his laptop in for me to do some updates and work on. He forgot to take out his porn DVD ... asked me to keep hold of it as it was one of his faves. No-one in the office was surprised because we all know he's a dirty old man and loved him for it.

Did he turn up in tight overalls to the accompaniment of cheesy organ music sporting a wild moustache?
