There are some more offers for all Starwood Hotels & Resorts, incl a Buy 2 get 1 free, Buy 3 get the 4th night free, save 25% on stays 5 nights and longer, plus a few others
Here. Most do require arrival to be on a Wed/Thurs/Fri or Sat night.

Have I missed something, or is it not possible to make a continuous booking with extra nights after the free night? E.g. two nights charged, third night free, then add another night or two?
Alternatively, what happens if two seperate bookings were made, would the hotel be able to combine them or might you have to check out and check in to possibly a different room..

The terms and conditions for the offer state that the min/max length of stay is 3 nights but they state that additional nights may be purchased at available rates so what you are asking should be possible.
I guess you are going to have to give them a call, as it does not seem possible to do on the net, it states you can book the offer over the phone and just quote offer code TNR or TNH.
Also, if you look at the link I provided there are some offers for 'stay 4 nights get 2 free', and '5% stays of 5 nights'. These offers are for all Starwood hotels, so you can book a W hotel with these offers too.
