I'm tempted to do a gold run, starting with a trip on an A380 on the 18th...

Club room booked in the LHR Renaissance - just need to chaff them up to let me onto the roof like I did for the Concorde farewell!!

I'll be packing the 'big one' Iain!

This is fantastic news - Looks like I will have to head out to Singapore next September and will hold the budget on flights to try out those suites -

Great to see the third A380. TBH come the end of the year it looks like these 380's will be common sight at LHR with EK using the 380 on the DXB route.

Sadly I have not managed to get the afternoon off so can't pop around to LHR to check her out.

They generally switch runways about 3pm, so whatever they're using this morning, she might be one of the first to switch onto the other this afternoon. That said, it would be cruel of air traffic not to land her on 27L so everyone gathered at Myrtle Avenue can get a good gander.

They were landing from the West when I passed at 7am this morning. If they keep that up it will be 09L

From Airliners.net :
they just switched direction, just started landing on one of the 27's so it will be arriving over London unless they switch again (unlikely).

They are landing 27R atm and i would think with the 3PM change over
it could be 27L.

Another pix quote from Airliners
it looks like 301 is the designated stand, you can get a good view of this stand from the T2 car park from any level.

G-CLOW looks like a quality bit of kit and could well be the answer to Virgin's fleet shortage issues ;-)

Got it OK. Not the best of pics but better than nothing - which is exactly what a lot of folks standing on Bath Rd got!
