Does anybody know if Aer Lingus has received the new air bus as yet with the new premier class seating and if so what flight number it is? If not any idea on when its due to start?

No she has not arrived. The delivery was brought forward from 2009 to November 2008. Then she will be in the fleet. I would imagine that she will jsut join the fleet and operate the usual TATL flights (and DXB?!?).

Thats a shame. I guess poor onward connections is what is killing EI on the route?

Surely someone like EY or GF must be interested in DUB. After all it, sadly seems, way off EK's radar.

Etihad fly from Dublin to Abu Dhabi 3 or 4 times a week.

While probably to poor onward connections may not have helped I would also suspect that DXB was not that heavily promoted as a connecting airport within the travel industry here. Travel agents over here tend to support the One world alliances because of EI's former involvement there.

In addition EI needed the aircraft to support their new routes in SFO, IAD and MCO

EI already have two A330s with the new cabins and seats in service
