Does anyone have any idea how many reward seats SQ usually release in F and J between LHR to SIN (not on 380 flights) at the time flights are made available for booking. I may be looking for 2 in F and 2 in J late next year.... what do you reckon my chances are ??

Cheers

Well, based on *A availability, none (as you've assumed) on the A380 flights and only 1 F at a time on all others.

SOMETIMES they then release a further F seat afterwards, but it's a gamble. For J, I HAVE seen 2 available, but VERY rarely. Again, usually 1 and then 'fingers crossed' for a while. [:(]

I'd say your chances of 2 F's AND 2 J's on the same flight are between 0.00001% and 0. That said, you might get lucky... [:?]

(Note: SQ hold a *slightly* more preferential inventory back for their own members of KrisFlyer)

Actually, I think they often have 2 F seats going.. but it is a small gamble, as they only release one at a time, and there's no guarantee the second one will appear.

My advice would be to go for it - book the seats that are available, and then watch seatcounter/ANA like a hawk for the next seat!

be aware that SQ now require that reward tickets are ISSUED within 24 hours of a booking request being made. This is a change from what used to be a 48 hour request to the airline, which may have been allowed to be held up to 3 days. Any bookings not ticketed within 24 hours will be cancelled by SQ, with no guarantee to get it back, so if you are waiting for a return seat to appear, you cannot unless there is something nearby which is available, if that makes any sense.

This has been covered in a topic on page 4 of the Clubhouse forum, (not sure about the ethics or mechanics of posting a link - sorry mods!)but I managed to get 2 x F reward seats with BD miles LHR-SIN & SIN-SYD, return, so it is possible - but not easy!
