And take down Maxjet with them!

Also, the service was supposed to go twice daily and they were building a lounge! Well, as Nick says, AA is one airline that is seriously managing its network at the moment.

Oh dear that didn't last very long. It is a shame but just adds to the fact that scheduled flights to the US are struggling if not from one of the main airports in London, as much as people hate it LHR is still very popular.

The tip of the iceberg, I suspect. AA has said it will slash its schedule further in the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2008.

At least in MY's case not quite true....MY never got fares to the level where they were making money, of the top of my head in their best month they needed a 110 % load factor to break even...This subject has been hashed over time and time again....such a shame.

Move into a route because someone's playing with their own ball instead of yours.

Strangle route until only your ball remains.

Discard route as no requirement for it now other kids have gone home crying.

Though I think if MY had marketed their service as a PE rather than Biz service they may of made it.

Echo everything that has been said. Clearly they went in to kill of Eos et al. Heck I was shocked when they used the 763 on the route, so clearly this was their intention.

STN's time will come I feel. It has a large amount of potential its just a shame we are waiting for the potential some 18 years after it opened.
