Two weeks now till my A380 J trip to Manila. I am thinking of collecting my bags from T1 and re-checking in T3 or should I just let them go all the way to Manila. Only 4 days in Manila so want to try cut out as much as possible the chance of the bags going missing but I suppose that could start at Dublin anyway. What would you guys suggest - Should I just check right through?

If the DUB-LHR leg is on the same ticket as the onward flights I would suggest you check them through, as, if there is a significant delay - and Dublin is notorious for delays - you will only have to worry about legging it to T3. However if the DUB-LHR leg is a separate ticket you won't in all probability have that option.

I usually collect my bags but then I always have a separate ticket and leave plenty of time between flights to cope with delays.

Thank honey - Its all one the one ticket - out with BMI. I feel we have given ourselves plenty of time on the BD120 at 0645am arriving 0745 and then SQ317 @ 1155. Should have loads of time for the Clubhouse. Will post a detailed TR with pictures when I return - Should be interesting to see that the new J calss is really like with SIA.
