I was about to post this too, I was delighted to read the result.

I really feel for everyone who has to deal with the 'public' - whether it be airlines staff, bus drivers etc.
They really do get the brunt of the worst of human nature.

boils back to general respect, or lack of it.

It is hoped that his name gets put on lists of all future airlines to refuse carriage..

We do not need scum like this on flights and he got everything he deserves.[y][y]
This moron should never have been allowed to walk away and go on his holiday he should have been detained in a foreign jail.[?][?]
If you cant handle your drink you should not drink.[V][V]
Hopefully he will never, ever be allowed to fly on any airline again?
I feel for the CC and passengers who must have been absolutely petrified, nobody deserves to be on the end of or witness this kind of aggression.

Fantastic, total result, though I think 8 months is not enough. Good for Thomas Cook for refusing him passage as well.

The key word in this report is 'Merseyside.'

Carry on.

I would agree, but this is pretty stiff for UK courts[n]

It does show the total lack of respect of some pax who think that CC are just there to serve them alcohol and to be their personal slave.

Fair play to Thomas Cook to refuse him passage home but I feel he should have been on the first available plane home and not allowed to enjoy his holiday.

There should be a zero-tolerance policy to the abuse of pax and CC by unruly pax on all airlines. In fact, in the age of reality tv, have their antics filmed and then have them named and shamed on tv. Aah, one flaw, like ASBOs, it will be a medal of honour to some idiots.
