BAA/Travelex currency pre-order

Just gone to do my usual currency pre-order using the Travelex link via the BAA website only to find that you can now only pre-order travellers cheques. The option for ordering cash seems to have gone. Not sure how long that has been in place [:?]

I always use that link to log my BAA Worldpoints number.

Instead, I've just used the normal Travelex web site where you can still pre-order both cash and t/cheques for collection at any of the Travelex desks in UK airports.

I dont think it really matters about logging your BAA Worldpoints number at the time of ordering, just as long as you hand it over when you collect your currency.

PS the US Dollar exchange rate is currently 1.539 via Travelex [:0]

Regards

The Post Office were offering just over $1.52 to the £ yesterday.I nearly keeled over [:0].I got nearly $2 to the £ for our trip in August - don't think I'll be doing quite as much shopping as I'd planned next week.

On a purely selfish note:

(Explanation - I have a load of Dollars that I can now exchange back to Sterling at a much better rate than before!)

The $2 to the £ was clearly not going to last long. We got $1.56 at Travelex last weekend, but got $1.70 on debit cards last Tuesday.

Travelex was $1.53 at LHR today.

Glad I still have a chunk of $$ to wire back into sterling. I am not convinced it's bottomed out yet.
