We're heading off to Copenhagen in December for a couple of nights, reasonable flight prices with SAS, via BMI.

I'm interested if anyone has any hotel recommendations for Copenhagen? We'll be flying to the airport and intend to goto Tivoli for the Christmast market, but beyond that also open to suggestions anyone may have?

Stayed at Hotel Skt Petri a couple of years ago - very clean and modern, bedrooms small but adequate - wicked open sandwiches in the little cafe attached!!! Would stay there again....

Hope this helps!

Best wishes Jane

We stayed at the Marriott on the river using Marriott points and were pleased. We had a room overlooking the water and it was of a decent size. Being on the water it is slightly less central than the SAS that is right next to Tivoli, but only by a few blocks. Central Copenhagen is fairly compact and walkable.

For getting from the airport into the city there is a train you can take that is quick and very cheap. I seem to remember it being about 12 minutes in duration, and the tickets were about £4 per person. The train station is across from Tivoli, so we were able to just walk to our hotel from there.

Have a great trip!
