Breakfast in T3

We're heading to MIA tomorrow with AA in coach (ouch).I'm not convinced that the in flight catering is going to be a pleasant experience so would like a nice breakfast to sustain us as the flight departs at 08.45. As it's a long time since I used anything but the CH in T3 for sustinence, should I opt for Chez Gerard or O' Neills (or somewhere else)?
Thanks.
DL

CG - it's no the CH but it does feel as if you have escaped the chaos for a while. Have a good flight.

The best thing to eat for breakfast in T3 is the cheese and marmite panini in Starbucks [^]

Yum! I love these, but sadly most Starbucks seems to be getting rid of the hot food options in favour of more pastries.
Thanks,
Sarah

That can't happen - they already have got rid of the rest of the food that I liked in there! How can I do a plane/train journey without my panini fix first? [xx(]

Coffee shops dont seem to realise that not everybody wants something sweet to eat. For a quick breakfast I'd rather a panini than a danish any day.
Thanks,
Sarah

Correct, as ever, Your Grace. A savoury brekkie for me versus something sweet.

Oh I do hope not Sarah - they are my favourite too and the shops near my office are still selling loads of hot food so long may it continue I cry - well the cheese and marmite panini esp - yum yum.

Am really hoping they keep them as I don't like sweet things - prefer savory any day! I hope that they don't go down the US Starbucks route with the only savory breakfast items having egg in them. [:$]
I say start a petition!

Richard can probably find a link but there was a runour that Starbucks were going to discongtinue the paninis and hot items as the smell of them cooking overpowered the coffee. I'm also in the savory club and really struggle here in the US (especially Seattle) to find a good breakfsat on the go.
Back on topic, i think Chez Gerard is the consensus for T3.
Thanks,
Sarah

Hi DL
Can't help with where to eat breakfast at T3, BUT will definitely say 'do it!'... we flew AA Y LHR to ORD a couple of months back and we really didn't find the food substantial enough... Lunch seemed particularly sad (some sort of salad, a VERY unsubstantial lasagna, a small bread roll and some very small dessert): if I hadn't eaten some sushi at 'Yo Sushi' before the flight, I think that I would have starved to death before afternoon tea came around (a pizza and some fruit - better than lunch I thought!).
I would say get a substantial breakfast and also take a good supply of snacks (possibly even some sandwiches or something) to keep you going.
We normally fly Business Class for longhaul (this was the first Y in some years) and I was shocked at the quality/quantity of the lunch.... am sure it used to be a LOT better... [?]

Have only been there once (end of August), but wasn't impressed. I LOOOOOOOVE sushi and have eaten in two 'Yo Sushi' before (Selfridges at the Trafford Centre and the new one at Bristol), the T3 one just didn't measure up as far as quality or variety is concerned... It served a purpose (I was desperate for some protein to eat), but wasn't hugely impressive.
