As from Dec 1st the amount of Duty free goods you can bring into the EU from any country outside the zone has changed to the following.

Cigarettes 200 (no chnage)
Alcohol>40% 1 litre (no change)
Beer 16 litres (no sure of change but i think up)
Wine 4 litres (increased by 2 litres)
Perfume, qty in ml has been abolished and now comes under general category of goods with a new limit of 430 Euro ( previously it was restricted by EDP and pure perfume sizes))

Other goods including fashion/toys electronics etc, value has been increased to 430 Euro (previously this was 175 Euro but perfume purchases are included in this value now)

happy shopping

Iain

You can also now 'mix and match' your tobacco allowance. You can do the same for alcohol apparently, but I'm a bit confused as to how exactly that works [?]

Or £300 for us still using the good old British Pound which will increase to £340 from 1 January 2009.
