I don't know if anyone else has seen this.

I went into purple parking's site direct just to get a quick quote & they are offering free membership & a good discount of between approx 8 to 17, depending on which type of car park I choose.

Also, they are showing a new car park, 5 minutes from the main terminals on offer for 58.45 for the first week in January.[y]
Any useful comments would be appreciated - thank you in advance.[:)]

However, this deal/offer isn't showing when I go into VA's site.

I'm a total pure bred wombat when it comes to cutting & pasting etc so please feel free to do it on my behalf clever V-Flyers.

Mods; please feel free to move me (or my subject) if I've posted in the wrong place - won't be the first time[:w]

I used Purple Parking at LHR in May and found the whole process an absolute pleasure and totally hassle free. Got a great price too.

The new car park is what was once called Qpark. It is on the Bath road, more or less opposite the Bowling Alley, and next to the premier inn. It is just about 5 mins from T1 T2 or T3 if all the traffic lights are green. I have been using it regularly for over a year. The service is excellent, and the price is good. Recommended.

Yes the QPark facility is excellent, used it a few times now and 100% recommend it.

Is it now called Purple Parking or are they just running it? The QPark site still shows it listed as one of there locations.

I also used Q-Park very regularly until recently. On my last but one trip I had to sit on the transfer bus for 20 minutes before they were full enough to set-off and then had a tour of T1 and T2 before only just arriving at T3 in time for the flight. Any requests for information or responses to my questions from the driver were met with snony silence.

My previous experiences have always been excellent with the transfer often being done with just me on the bus - I have to wonder if this new approach is symptomatic of the PP takeover.

They tell me that it is in the process of being rebranded as something like 'Quality Airport Parking'.

In fact, some of their buses have been re-liveried to reflect this, which is a little confusing if they don't tell you what bus to look out for when you get to bus stop 5.

Thanks for the info David. Fingers crossed everything will just continue in the same way with them then as with all things factored in they are probably the best.
