Anyone out there ever used Hayes & Jarvis ? I ask as they are offering a VH package at about 20% less than VH. At first sight a bit of the 'if it seems too good to be true it probably is'..

Used them a long long time ago (as a newlywed). They were absolutely fine then. See if VH will pricematch??

There is nothing wrong with them - although i will be able to get the price even better for you if you email us and mention that you are a v-flyer member.

We used them about 3 years ago when we first went to Jamaica for my sisters wedding. Nothing wrong with them although we all agreed that they weren't great, but maybe it was because our circumstances were slightly out of the normal. At the end of the day 20% is a big saving!

Hayes and Jarvis are are part of the First Choice / TUI group, and they could well be cheaper than VH as they are part of a bigger company.

We used Hayes & Jarvis a few years back twice, they were very good. As suggested above, see if VH will price match.

Why do a pricematch?
H&J have the better price so give them the business...

Because of bonus FC miles received when booking with VH[:)]. I believe (but I might be wrong) that pjh also has FVC status with VH.

Duly noted and exploratory talks are well underway...
DL - you're correct, I do have FVC status which would give me an additional 5% saving. I also find I have some deal through my bank account which would give me 10% off brochure price plus free (Servisair) lounge access.

Are you sure it's 5% Paul? (my FVC status gives me a 10% discount[:?]).

I was pricing through the website which automatically offers 5% off brochure prices anyhow. Thus I think the actual FVC benefit - as the discounts are not cumulative - would amount to an extra 5% off the brochure price to give the total FVC discount of 10%.

All sorted now thanks to the good offices of Barnstaple and
The Destination Lounge, as referenced by Scrooge's post. Simplicity itself - gave our requirements, received options and far better prices than I could find myself on line, even with my 10% FVC discount, now booked and seats assigned.
