I think all the hotels on the Bath Road would be suitable. I'm not so sure one would make it less 'hassle free' than another, they are all connected by the Hoppa Bus, or a few are close enough to bus stops so you could catch the regular buses (I know the Park Inn is one of these).

The Sheraton Skyline is a choice for many of us, but as Neil said, they are all alike really. I'd take a look at what prices you can get or whether you collect points at any of the names and make a decision from there.
Thanks,
Sarah

I notice that VS themselves have great rates and double miles.
I'm not keen on Sheraton and for an airport hotel I prefer something like Jurys Inns. Clean and comfy and not overpriced. But that's just me.

I book a LHR hotel by bidding on Priceline. In the past I have been able to get the Marriott and the Crowne Plaza for as little as $75 and last week I nabbed the Sheraton for $50. Given that really all I was looking for was a bedroom for the night I was more than happy with the results I got

Priceline for me too [y] unless I want parking with it then it's a case of shopping around. Weekends help lower the price too.

Holidayextras.com often offer good deals too. It's also much easier to use one of the local cab companies (rather than the Hoppa)if there's two or more of you.

I wasn't overly impressed with the Sheraton last time I stopped there. Whilst the room was OK, is was sooooo cold and the water temp in the bathroom wasn't much warmer either [:0]
Much prefer the Sheraton Skyline but that tends to be a little more expensive than the Sheraton.

My experience also but then at the price I paid I can't complain
