Hi guys,

Does anyone have any experience of hotels in Philidelphia? Me and Mrs nibbs staying there for a couple of nights doing the tourist thing.

Any suggestions?

Well will you have a car? What do you want to see in Philly? Shopping? UPenn? The Bell? Oh and when? Do you like sports?

Ok. All the tourist stuff is near City Center and to the East of CC (City Center).

BUT I would suggest staying at the aLoft at the Airport. Many of the hotels are old and not kept well. There are gems but they tend to be expensive for the room. Philadelphia has spikes in prices dues to UPenn events in town. The aLoft is a ten minute drive to the cheese steak, Ikea and Italian area plus only fifteen minutes from downtown.

I stay at the Rittenhouse - location is perfect for the shopping and cocktail bars etc by the square, and given that the city has a pretty fun down feel these days - it is always 'feels' safer than many others.
