June 18 (Bloomberg) -- A Continental Airlines Inc. pilot died on a flight to Newark, New Jersey, from Brussels this morning, WABC-TV reported, citing unidentified authorities. Two first officers are piloting the Boeing 777, which is scheduled to arrive at Newark Liberty International Airport at noon local time, WABC said. The cause of the death will be determined by a medical examiner.

This news item has been confirmed on BBC News online too. Indeed, a very sad day for the crew operating the flight, the family of the deceased pilot & the medical personnel onboard who did what they could to help him.

You hear of pax dying fairly frequently but this is the first time I recall seeing it about a member of the crew.
