Swissport Staff at Gatwick, Stanstead & Manchester to vote on strike action.

Looks like its not about more money but the fact that an agreed rise has not been paid when it should have been.
How many of us would be happy that a payrise that should have been implemented in April was still outstanding 5 months later?

Oh yea buns - agreed. I just find it silly BA ground staff, BAA or now Swissport will strike mid summer. I think staff should get great pay, benefits, etc. BUT mid summer strike are not good. Honestly I wish that once some airport company would just say 'so what', strike.

I take your point, but reality is that these are really tough times at the moment and with less flights - and therefore business - the alternative might be redundancies[:0]
It is tough, but only a compromise will achieve anything
