Not good news from BA...again.
But, looking at this it does seem to be the first action from BA where they are actually addressing the problem and taking some sensible steps. Take some flights out on heavy rotation routes. This will be a pain for some passengers, but they are doing it in a planned way, rather than reactive panic. It will then give them better load factors on the remaining flights and some capacity in case of aircraft going tech.
I have a few BA flights lined up in the next couple of months, mostly to Scotland and back. I'd rather the flight was cancelled now and I had options of which flight to move to, rather than arriving at the airport to be told it's cancelled and I've got a six hour wait.

What happens to the slots those flights occupied? Will they be available to other carriers?
VS could certainly use the US and Honkers ones!!

Good question, is there a "use it or lose it" policy. I can't guess that BA would jeopardise their slots though, far too valuable.
