Hilton Ras Al Khaimah-Dubai

Hi

Has anyone stayed at the above hotel and can offer any observations on it, or the Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort and spa nearby?

Also any ideas as to transport to get there, hotel web site says it's 90 minutes from DXB airport, and so far the cheapest transfers i can find are 150.

Failing that we will be looking at either the Intercontinental or either of the Crowne Plazas in Dubai (have couple of hundred thousand priority club points burning a hole!) If anyone can offer advice on either.

Thanks

I've had a paddle in their kid's pool when our coach trip of the Emirates stopped there for lunch! [:p]

I've lived in Dubai most of this year and travelled to each Emirate for work and wouldn't stay there. Too far away from anything, unless you want to be confined to a hotel resort.

Stay in Dubai and spend the saved 'transfer' money on a sandboarding trip! [:D]

We visited the RAK Hilton resort/spa during Eid - it is beautiful, but as Captain Paul says a bit out of the way. I can host some pictures if you want. You will also feel a bit trapped in terms of eating/entertainement options.

The only realistic way of getting there is to hire a car. Once out of Dubai its an easy route - and if you arrive on Friday morning, the roads will be very quiet.

Not sure about the IC and be carefull about which CP you book. They have a very nice hotel on Sheik Zayed Road, but it is in a business area and miles from a beach.

Please let me know if I can be of any further help.
