What an idiot, he may as well consider himself banned for life from the US.

Now the big question, how in the hell did he get them onboard ?

Well this is getting a little more interesting, it turns out it was not firecrackers but an explosive mixture of 'powder and liquid' that fizzled rather than exploded.

The person in question is claiming to be acting on behalf of al-Qaida and the intent was to blow up the plane on US soil.

At time os posting the BBC is reporting it as 'attempted terror attack' and 'official says passenger planned to blow up plane' and that the white is monitoring.

I can also see lots of questions being asked about security screening at AMS and the ESTA approval process.
