Delta to spend 1 BILLION dollars refurbishing its planes and lounges. They've got a way to go, but clearly want to compete on a more level playing field.

Bizfirst is CO, do you mean BusinessElite ?

At any rate, I liked DL, just flying through JFK became a total nightmare. I loved their CVG hub, but they have pretty much taken that apart now.

In regards to the upgrades, most of these have been going on for a while with the domestic fleet getting avod throughout the plane, of course NW had nothing on their domestic fleet so anything is an improvement. The big news is the 744's getting a new interior, the CEO took a flight DTW-NRT and was quoted as being less than happy with the seating.

I seem to remember that there is a new bolt on attachment to the engines on the MD-80 series aircraft that improves fuel consumption by around 7%, I wonder if they will be doing that ???
