Actually, on closer reading it doesn't look all that. They appear to have changed the shape of the seat and armrests so that passengers can spread out a bit more. But rather good thinking imho.

This picture gives a better idea of what they are doing.

The rejected option looks interesting - bunks.
I wonder why it failed.
